Can you send one of these to my mum, nan or auntie for birthday, Mother's Day or Christmas?
- You bet! If you register on our site you can even keep multiple shipping addresses for all of your relatives and friends you'd fancy sending one of these to. Just ask us (just type a note in the "Comments" section as you check out, or send us a note through the form on the "Contact Us" link) and we'll add in a free holiday or birthday card with your purchase!
- Can you ship these sweepers to Australia?
- Sorry, due to local customs regulations we can no longer ship these to Australia.
- How do I get the best performance from my HOKY sweeper?
1. Practice a bit getting the rhythm pushing back and forth to get the speed that gets the best results - the sweeper will pick up best with a medium to fast speed, too slow or too fast won't be as effective. The sweeper will pick up being pushed or pulled.
2. Debris that is stuck to the carpet will be difficult to pick up - some anti-stain carpet treatments, and static electricity, can make it difficult for sweepers to pick up dirt. Running a regular vacuum cleaner a few times over treated carpet can help raise the nap enough so the sweeper will be effective.
3. Empty the dirt from the sweeper regularly - it may not seem to picking up much, but even in light use it will pick up lots of lint and dust, you will see! The sweeper will work best with an empty dustpan.
4. The brushes are more effective picking up dirt once they've been "broken in", in other words, used for awhile.

Who are you guys, anyway? And why did you put up this site?
- The official name of the company is Tubezone.net Inc, based in Loves Park, Illinois USA. We have been selling Hoky sweepers to the UK and EU for about 2 years via Ebay - you can see our UK Ebay shop at http://stores.shop.ebay.ie/Tubezone-UK. We put up this site to make it easier for customers to find these products - we sell lots of other unrelated items and the sweeper listings are kind of buried under the 600 and something other Ebay listings we have - and because, frankly, we're getting a little tired of Ebay.

- Yes. To contact us by email, simply go to the bottom of any page on this site and click on the "Contact US" link, or you can ring us up at 020-7096-1306 (local call in London) - this connects directly to our US phone. Please bear in mind we're 6 hours behind the UK - you won't get a live person until about 3 PM your time.

Are these the same as the Oreck sweepers?
- Except for the label, the Hoky 2400 is the same as the Oreck PR2600, and the Hoky 3000 os the same as the Oreck PR3200. The rotors are interchangeable as well. Both of those Oreck models are made by Hoky. There is no Oreck equivalent to the 23T sweeper.

What's better, the Rotorblade or brush models?
- The Rotorblade has the advantage that threads and hair can not get tangled in it and debris can not get packed into it - it's very easy to clean. However the brush models are generally better for collecting hair - but you'll need to clean the brush out on occasion, there is a brush comb included with the 23T model for that purpose.

Are the plastic models as durable as the the metal ones?
- We say yes - the plastic used is ABS rather than cheaper polystyrene or polyethylene. ABS is oil and water resistant and is the same kind of plastic used in motorcycle helmets and quality fairings. You should expect many years of service from any HOKY model.

Is this the official site of the Hoky company?
- No. We are distributors of HOKY products. The HOKY logo and all images are copyright and property of Hoky Holdings, LLC in the United States and are used on this site either with permission or under Fair Use provisions of US copyright law. (The Hoky folks don't seem to mind so long as we sell lots of genuine HOKY sweepers!) We are not associated with Hoky Holdings LLC except as a distributor of their products, we can't accept or arrange for warranty repairs of Hokys sold elsewhere nor refer you to local dealers or repairers. You can find Hoky's company information and contacts on their web site, hoky.com.

What is your Privacy Policy and what are your Terms and Conditions for this site?
- Just go to the top of any page and click on the "Terms and Conditions" link and you can read all the gory legal details. However, to make one thing perfectly clear, we DON'T LIKE SPAM!, we don't spam people, we don't associate with known spammers (except perhaps to poison their coffee), and we don't share email addresses or personal data with spammers, or anyone else who's not packing a gun (on our side of the pond they DO carry guns), badge, and a court order. Which is pretty unlikely, and unlikely to affect you, since you don't live in Illinois. Oh, yeah, and we don't send emails to you except regarding your order, or if you ask us to.

What is your Return and Warranty Policy?
- Under UK Distance Selling Regulations, you can cancel an order or return unopened items for credit within 7 days. If a return is necessary we will give you a UK address to post the item to. We do not pay return postage, sorry.
Hoky products are covered under a 1 year factory warranty - but so far in about 2 years of selling them, no one has ever asked for warranty repairs on these sweepers! These are very simple machines and there's not much if anything to go wrong with them, in the unlikely event that something would need to be repaired under warranty, we'd just send a replacement part rather than ask for the machine to be returned.

Can I buy from this site if I am not in the United Kingdom?
- Yes. All prices on this site are in British Pounds, though. Google Checkout and PayPal will render prices in British Pounds - your credit or debit card issuer will convert your local currency. PayPal will bill your account in British currency and convert into your home currency (Euro, crowns, etc) in your PayPal account or on your debit or credit card. If you live in the USA or Canada you should visit our US Ebay site, http://stores.ebay.com/The-Tube-Zone , which has prices in US dollars and bills shipping at local rates.
- My credit card won't work on Google Checkout, why not?
- Google Checkout UK normally only accepts "chip cards" issued by UK, Irish or European banks. If you have another type of card you will have to check out via "Online Credit Card" or "PayPal".
Do I have to pay VAT and duty on these sweepers?
- During the 2 years we have been selling these to the UK via Ebay, so far only 1 person has reported being charged VAT + duty - (we think that was due to an illegible customs declaration) The package itself is small, about the same size as a small box of cornflakes, and is only declared at wholesale value - £20, all we can claim if it gets damaged anyway - so it's not very likely that you'll be bothered for VAT or duty.

How are the sweepers shipped? Who delivers them?
- Orders for single sweepers are shipped from the USA by international first class airmail and delivered by your local postal service (in the UK, Royal Mail). Please note that while this service is cheaper than Global Priority mail, so we can offer much lower prices, it is a lower priority bulk shipping service and does not supply tracking numbers. If you need faster service or tracking, you can opt for Global Priority Mail for an extra £10. If you buy more than one sweeper, all shipped to the same destination they will be shipped by Global Priority Mail at no extra charge.

How about replacement rotors?
- These don't weigh much and are also shipped by regular air mail letter post. You can opt for Global Priority Mail on these items as well if you like.

How soon will my sweeper be delivered?
- This depends partly on transport conditions, how busy the postal service and customs is and whether the postmen decide to go on strike or not, but typically delivery times are between 2 and 4 weeks from the time you order with regular service and 1 to 2 weeks with Priority service.
